Saturday, Feb. 1
Rotary Leadership Institute

Rotary Leadership Institute is designed to assist in improving the Rotary knowledge and leadership skills of the future leaders of our Rotary clubs and is offered at three levels over one-day workshops.

Parts 1, 2, and 3 are being offered with host Tracy van Norman on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Southern Regional Technical College in Thomasville from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Part 1 training is required for all new club members. The Rotary Club of Thomasville will cover the $100 cost of the program for all Part 1 participants, but if a Part 1 participant signs up and does not attend, they are required to reimburse the club for their tuition.

To sign up, contact either Angela Williamson or Nate Tyler.

DON'T FORGET: New Venue!
Rotary Moves to Vashti Beginning This Week

Our first club meeting of the new year – Thursday, Jan. 9 – will be at our new home: The Vashti Center.

This is an exciting move for our club. Rotary has a special relationship with Vashti, and it has since its founding in 1921. This move improves our meeting space and benefits Vashti, helping provide more visibility of Vashti and its facilities to the community.

Thursday, Jan 9
Club Assembly at Vashti

As we begin 2025 – and the second half of the year in Rotary – we want to start the year strong.

President Marta Jones Turner and members of the board will revisit progress made on addressing issues identified by members in our May 2024 membership satisfaction study. They will also provide updates on financials, projects, goals, and a look ahead at the last half of this Rotary year. We will be asking for member input on several matters as we work to serve the community through projects, offer interesting and enjoyable programs, encourage connection and good relations among our membership.

Plus, it is our first regular meeting at our new home – Vashti – so please make every effort to attend this meeting.

Monday, Jan. 13
Board Meeting

The board will meet Monday, Jan. 13 at 5:15 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce. Members are welcome to attend and all directors should attend, or have someone from their area of responsibility attend on their behalf.

Remember: All red-ribbon members should attend at least one board meeting during their time as a red-ribbon member.

Thursday, Jan. 16
City Manager Chris White

On Thursday, Jan. 16, Thomasville City Manager Chris White will provide an update about the city of Thomasville.
