11.20.2025: Message from the President
Thank you to our volunteers who put in a helping paw to deliver pet food last weekend for our Pawsitivity Partnership. This collaboration between Buckhead Rotary, LifeLine Animal Project, and Open Hand ensures no kitty goes without kibble and no pup misses a meal. We had 20 Buckhead Rotarians and their guests deliver pet food to 43 homes (cats and dogs) along with 12 Open Hand stops. Thank you to Sam Alston, Karla Arriola and her husband Michael, Bill Barney, Greg and Jeanette Davis, Kathy Fin, Garth and Lori Peters, Scott and Lebby Thompson, Fernando Torres, and Radu and his two coworkers. A special shout out and thanks to Kari Kirkley, our cat herder and chief for making sure everything went off without a leash, er, hitch. Everything was purr-fectly executed.
With the holiday’s coming up, we want to ensure the animals have food and that no one is skipping a meal to feed their pet. Our final delivery of the year is scheduled for Saturday December 6th at 10:00 am at Open Hand’s headquarters. Please check the calendar for sign up information.
Our December 1st meeting is almost here. Please wear your college (or pro) apparel and show support for our speaker, Gary Stokan… Even if your old sweatshirts are a little tight around the middle, pull out your go to Brave’s t-shirt and show your team spirit. Go Dawgs, Bumblebees, or whoever you root for!
