Free T-Shirt! Service Above Self, On DisplayPick Up Yours on Monday!
Every Buckhead Rotarian will receive a "Service Above Self" t-shirt. On Monday, check in with Gabrielle Jones, Club Administrator, or Scott Thompson, Sergeant at Arms, to receive a t-shirt in your preferred size (Small, Medium, Large, XL or XXL) - something to let others know who we are when you are out making Buckhead a better place.
Right now, our club is pouring its energy into three causes that reflect the very best of who we are. Through Horizons Atlanta, we're opening doors for students and closing the summer learning gap at Galloway, AIS, and The Temple. With Lifeline Animal Project, we're giving vulnerable animals a second chance. And alongside the Shepherd Center, we're standing with those rebuilding their lives after injury. Different missions, one shared purpose: lifting up our community. Being a Rotarian means belonging to something larger than yourself—and we should wear that pride openly. So let's make that happen...

Thirsty Thursday is Coming - August 20th

Welcome Back, Buckhead!School bells rang across Atlanta Public Schools this week — welcome back, parents! Among those students are our own Horizons Atlanta scholars, two of whom we honored at last week's meeting for outstanding effort and achievement during this summer's program: Lorenzo Cummings (The Galloway School) and Aitana Berrios Tello (Atlanta International School). Their energy is a reminder of exactly why we do this work.
This week we unveiled the first of our 75th Anniversary videos, honoring Alec Smythe and the establishment of our Signature Project charity support program. Look for a new video every month for the rest of the year, each spotlighting a different chapter in what has made this club extraordinary. [CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO]
Please join us in welcoming our newest blue badge recipients, Carl Wilhjelm and Matt Frost. Well earned! Next week brings a marquee speaker: Sonny Perdue, former Governor of Georgia and Chancellor of the University System of Georgia. Please register if you plan to attend — this is one you won't want to miss. And there's still more 75-year history headed your way, through a podcast created especially to celebrate our diamond anniversary. Details below. |
Did You Know We Have a Podcast?!!Deep Dive into our 75 Year History Buckhead Rotary has had its own podcast channel for years — and it's home to something special. Our new "deep dive" episode, generated entirely by AI, traces the club from its earliest days straight through today's signature projects. It's a fast, engaging run through our proudest moments, and there are fun facts tucked inside that even our longest-tenured members won't see coming. Give it 30 minutes on your next drive or walk. You'll come away understanding just how far this club has come — and prouder than ever to be part of it.
