Happy post-Labor Day, Rotarians! Hope everyone survived three days of grilling, napping, and successfully avoiding all thoughts of work email.
This Monday, Sept. 14 is a big one. We're welcoming Sheffield Hale, President & CEO of the Atlanta History Center and the closest thing Buckhead has to a walking encyclopedia, fresh off our club's deposit of several artifacts there, including our original charter — now living somewhere nicer than a filing cabinet.
We're also cutting a $40,000 check to LifeLine Animal Project, marking two years of partnership. That's not money falling from the sky — it's every Rotarian who pays dues and sponsors the Annual Buckhead Rotary Benefit, our only fundraiser, doing exactly what it's designed to do.
Looking ahead: Pawsitivity Partnership, Sat., Sept. 19 — help deliver pet food to families in need (sign up at OpenHandAtlanta.org). And we're proud to launch Be The Voice, a peer-led program proven to cut bullying, at North Atlanta High School this fall alongside our Rotaract Club there.
