Message from the President: December 2025

A heartfelt thank you to all our members who joined us for the last meeting of the year, for some holiday cheer. It was one to remember! Together, we packed 100 bags for deserving cats and dogs, all while sharing laughs and working side by side in the spirit of service above self. We were treated to a festive serenade by our very own Drew Amerson, with Ty Tippet joining in for a lively round of “Jingle Bells.” And of course, the highlight was Santa’s surprise visit, straight from the North Pole Rotary Club! Special thanks to Jim Coleman for arranging Santa’s appearance and spreading holiday cheer. LifeLine was onsite to transport the donations, via their sled, back to the Fulton County Shelter. Thank you to Kari Kirkley for organizing the toys and treats for our four-legged friends! I was deeply moved by the energy, generosity, and heart our members showed. I am incredibly proud to serve as your president. In addition to these pictures, please use the link below to view a slide show of all the festivities.

Happy Hanukkah!

Happy challah days to all our Jewish members. Wishing you plentiful latkes and jelly donuts and enough gelt to keep the dreidel spinning all 8 nights. Happy Hanukkah!

Pawsitivily Jolly!

As part of our Pawsitivity Partnership, we had another successful pet food delivery earlier this month. 25 Rotarians and their guests delivered to 45 LifeLine pet owners with an added total of 24 Open Hand meal orders. Thank you to everyone who participated, it warms my heart to know pets and their people won’t go hungry this holiday season.

Welcome Eddie LaRocco!

Please join me in welcoming our newest member, Eddie LaRocco, who was inducted on Monday. As we close out the year, we celebrate a major milestone,12 new members! While many Rotary clubs are seeing declines, Buckhead Rotary is growing, thriving, and gaining momentum. I can’t wait to see all that we will accomplish together in the second half of the Rotary year.

Sign up for the Holiday Ham Haul!

It's BAAAAAAAACK! The Christmas Eve dinner delivery for our First Responders! This insanely popular event will provide dinner to every single fire station and police precinct in the City of Atlanta. We will pull it off in conjunction with Livable Buckhead, Buckhead Coalition and some additional sponsors yet to be nailed down. We need volunteers to help with picking up food, setting up the distribution and delivering the dinners to the stations. We need a lot of hands for this and if you are delivering, you need a car with a little bit of space! Pick up/Set up will start at 8am, deliveries will begin at 11:00am and should be wrapped up no later than about 2pm.
