Big shout out to all of our volunteers!

Thank you!

Paws in the Park

Our recent Dog for a Day outing brought together 28 volunteers, 22 Rotarians and guests plus 6 girls from Scouting America, and 7 shelter dogs (with 3 extra pups joining the fun) for a 2½-mile stroll through Chastain Park. It was truly a walk in the park, filled with fresh air, wagging tails, and lots of laughs. The dogs enjoyed a well-deserved break from the shelter and the chance to explore new sights and smells. It was a paw-some time for people and pups alike!

Thank you, Allie Geisler, for coordinating the logistics onsite at LifeLine, Kari Kirkley for the donuts, coffee and dog treats, Rosa McHugh for letting us set up shop at the Chastain Park Conservancy, Bill Gentner for tent set up and extraction and everyone else who participated for making this a pawsitively good time.

A Night of Service at Shepherd Center

Patients recovering from spinal cord and brain injuries at the Shepherd Center enjoyed a family-style dinner served by fifteen Buckhead Rotarians and their guests who turned out for an evening of volunteering serving a family-style dinner for the patients and their families before joining in on a spirited game of bingo. With Garth Peters calling out the numbers and Denise Starling acting as his Vanna White, a little friendly competition and plenty of joyful moments were had by all. It was a simple but meaningful night of service that left everyone smiling.

Thank you, Liz Martin, for making this an extra special night for the patients and their families going through this intense program to overcome their life-altering injuries.
