Biggest news first: we presented Lifeline Pet Shelter with $40,000 , year two of our three-year signature project. That makes us a proud sponsor of their Healthy Pet Event on October 17, where more than 1,200 pets get vaccinated at no cost to their owners. Twelve hundred. Bring earplugs.
We also welcomed Humberto Garcia-Sjogrim as our newest member. Humberto, you're one of us now, and there is no refund policy.
Our club flag traveled to North Africa in an exchange with a visiting Rotarian, meaning our banner now has a better passport than most of us.
At the Atlanta History Center, Sheffield Hale helped us archive the Buckhead Rotary charter during their 100th anniversary and told terrific stories about how Atlanta became a city the world actually wants to move to. Our charter now lives in climate-controlled splendor. It earned it.
